Beyond the Blastoise evolution line, the deck features two Articuno EX cards (regular Articuno cards are viable too). This Basic Pokémon is a game-changer, playable directly from hand to field.
The final Pokémon in the deck is Meowth. While not as mighty as the others, its Payday attack grants a card draw, a crucial asset for snagging Blastoise.
Trainer Cards in the Blastoise EX Deck Build
This Blastoise EX deck packs 10 trainer cards, more than many decks. We've included two Poké Ball cards, enabling players to snatch a random Basic Pokémon from the deck and add it to hand. Squirtle, Articuno, and Meowth all qualify.
Professor's Research and Potion are staples, hence their inclusion. Healing 20 damage and drawing two cards are indispensable.

Sabrina and Misty are the linchpins. Sabrina swaps your opponent's Active Pokémon with a Benched one. The Misty card lets you flip a coin, scoring a Water Energy per heads (until tails) for a Pokémon.
With a stroke of luck, you could amass a wealth of Water Energies for Blastoise.
