Arcane Season 1, Act 1: The Sisters, Hextech, and the Estranged Brothers of the Revolution

Arcane Kicks Off with an Introduction of How the Two Main Protagonists — Vi and Powder — Lost Their Parents During a Civil Battle Between Zaun (the Undercity) and Piltover. We Learn How Vander Emerged as a Leader for the Undercity People and a Father Figure to the Sisters and Other Slum Kids.

Years After the Rebellion, the Kids Have Grown Up and Are Now on a Mission to Steal from What Seemed to Be a Rich Piltover Citizen. But This Sets Off a Chain Reaction That Will Shape Their Lives.

Powder Discovers the Foundation of What Would Become Hextech and Exposes the Scientist Behind It — Jayce — After Triggering an Explosion Too Big to Ignore by Piltover's Council. At the Trial, However, Jayce's Invention Catches Victor's Attention, Initiating a Partnership That Will Alter the Uppercity Forever.

Meanwhile, the Kids Hide in the Undercity as the Tension Between the Two Places Soars, with Piltover's Law Enforcement (Enforcers) Constantly Hunting for Them. It's Then That We Discover Vander Struck a Deal with Sheriff Grayson to Keep the Peace, but with His Refusal to Hand Over the Children Responsible for the Explosion in Piltover, Tension Mounts on Both Sides.

Silco Seizes This as an Opportunity to Seize Control of the Undercity and Strikes a Deal with Marcus — an Enforcer Who Would Later Betray Grayson and Become the Sheriff.

Vi Decides to Surrender to Resolve the Situation, but Thanks to Silco's Deal with Marcus, It's Not Grayson Chasing Her. Vander Manages to Reach Vi Before Marcus, But Ends Up in Silco's Clutches.

Vi Resolves to Rescue Vander but Leaves Powder Behind as She's Too Young and Can't Fight. Vi, Mylo, and Claggor Succeed in Rescuing Vander, and All Seems Well, But as They're About to Escape from Silco, Powder Causes an Explosion Using the Stolen Hextech from the First Episode.

Vander, Mylo, and Claggor Lose Their Lives, and in a Heartbreaking Scene, Vi Calls Powder a "Jinx" Because She Always Messes Things Up. Vi Then Abandons Powder Next to Vander's Transformer and Deformed Body Amid the Flames.

Silco Witnesses Everything and Approaches Powder, but Before Vi Can Return and Save Her, Marcus Grabs Her and Thrusts Her into the Darkness. Silco Sees Himself in Powder and Adopts Her.

Arcane Season 1, Act 2: Silco's Empire Building in the Undercity

We Skip a Few Years and See the Grown-Up Powder (Now Jinx) and Vi. Jinx Works with Silco, and Her Sanity Becomes Unstable After the Vander Incident, While Vi Is Locked Up in Prison.

Piltover Thrives Thanks to Hextech, and Jayce Lands a Spot on the City Council, While Silco Runs the Undercity with Shimmer — a Highly Addictive Drug He Introduced.

Throughout the Show, Councilor and Scientist Heimerdinger Appears to Be the Only One Concerned About Jayce and Viktor's Rapid Expansion of Hextech's Use. Heimerdinger Fears the Consequences If the Technology Falls into the Wrong Hands.

After Failing a Job for Silco Due to Ekko's Firelights, Jinx Tries to Make Amends by Stealing the Stabilized Version of Hextech That Jayce and Victor Planned to Present to Piltover, Killing Six Enforcers in the Process. This Spurs Caitlyn to Investigate Jinx, Leading Her to Vi. She Manages to Free Vi from Prison, and Their Hunt for Jinx Begins.

Meanwhile, a Crisis Erupts Between Silco and Marcus. The Sheriff Wants to Arrest Jinx for the Murders and Tells Silco He Can't Control Her. Silco, However, Persuades Marcus to Blame the Murders on the Firelights.

Jayce's Influence in the Piltover Council Grows, and He Shifts from Science to Politics, Also Dating Council Member Mel. Victor Struggles to Stabilize the Hex Core and Ends Up Hospitalized.

In the Undercity, Jinx Eventually Cracks the Code to Stabilize the Hex Core and Use It as a Weapon, to Silco's Delight. Also, It's Worth Noting That Throughout This Act, Jinx's Mental Health Deteriorates as She Struggles with the Dilemma of Working for Silco and the Possibility of Reuniting with Vi.

The Highlight of Act 2 Is When Jinx and Vi Finally Reconnect After Years of Separation. But Things Go South Rapidly, as Jinx Is Jealous of Caitlyn. And to Ruin the Reunion, the Firelights Arrive at the Precinct.

Arcane Season 1, Act 3: Jinx's Assault on the Piltover Council, Vander's Mysterious Fate (?)

The Tension Between Piltover and the Undercity Intensifies in Act 3 of Arcane Season 1 as Jinx Kills More Enforcers and Notably Sheriff Marcus. Sky, Viktor's Assistant, Also Loses Her Life Trying to Save Viktor from the Unstable Hex Core. The Scientist Had Been Transforming Himself into Metal, But the Hex Core's Power Proved Too Much for Humans to Handle.

Eventually, the Inevitable Happens, and Jayce Decides to Weaponize Hextech to Defend Piltover from the Undercity. The Council Hopes to Reason with the Undercity, But Vi and Jayce Opt to Take Charge to Stop Silco and His Shimmer Factory.

Jayce Accidentally Shoots One of the Kids While Arresting People in Silco's Shimmer Factory. This Leaves Him Devastated and Drives Him to Make a Deal with Silco. The Undercity Would Gain Independence in Exchange for Shutting Down the Shimmer Factory, Jinx's Imprisonment, and the Return of the Hextech Gemstone She Stole on Progress Day.

However, the Peace Agreement Falls Through. Vi Tries to Reach Silco After Defeating His Bodyguard Sevika, Only to Be Attacked by Jinx and Eventually Restrained.

Caitlyn Is Also Bound in Silco's Lair Alongside Vi, and Jinx Presents a Heartbreaking Choice to Her Sister. Vi Must Choose Jinx over Caitlyn If She Wants to Have Powder Back. Meanwhile, Silco Tries to Convince Jinx to Stay with Him, Telling Her She's His Daughter.

As the Tension Mounts, Caitlyn Frees Herself from Her Bonds, and Jinx Accidentally Kills Silco in the Gunfight. Vi Confronts Jinx, But Her Sister Loses Her Sanity. Instead of Surrendering, Jinx Uses the Stolen Gemstone to Launch a Rocket at the Council, Which Was Voting on the Peace Between Piltover and the Undercity.

Arcane Season 1 Concludes with a Captivating Cliffhanger as We're Left in the Dark About the Casualties of Jinx's Attack. And to Add to the Mystery, Silco's Former Scientist Singed Rescues Vander's Body and Appears to Transform Him into Warwick, a League of Legends Champion.
