🏀 Knicks set record with 47‑point halftime lead, then brawl with Hawks in Game 6 blowout

ATLANTA – On May 1 (Beijing time), the New York Knicks demolished the Atlanta Hawks 140-89 on the road to close out the series in Game 6.

New York led 83-36 at halftime, and the 47-point halftime margin set a new NBA playoff record for the largest lead at the break. OG Anunoby extended the lead to 50 points on a free throw with 4:39 left in the second quarter, showcasing the Knicks’ overwhelming firepower.

The game, however, was marked by a fiery altercation. Late in the second quarter, Knicks center Mitchell Robinson and Hawks guard Dyson Daniels got into a heated physical confrontation while jostling for position. Multiple players became involved, and an official was knocked to the ground during the chaos. Coaches and players from both sides quickly intervened – Hawks head coach Quin Snyder personally pulled Daniels away, while the Knicks’ Jalen Brunson restrained Robinson. Both Robinson and Daniels were ejected.
