Thunder Go 5-0 Behind Another SGA Masterclass
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is living up to his MVP billing, dropping 31 points and guiding the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 107–101 win over the Sacramento Kings at the Paycom Center.
Trailing by three heading into the final quarter, the Thunder surged late to steal the lead with 2:33 left on the clock and held firm to secure a perfect 5-0 record — the best start in the NBA Western Conference this season.
“We did what it took to win,” said Gilgeous-Alexander after the game.
The Canadian guard now shares the lead for most points in the NBA this season (143), continuing his elite form since joining OKC from the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019.
Around the League: Antetokounmpo Sparks Bucks Comeback
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 37 points, including 23 in the second half, as the Milwaukee Bucks overcame a 14-point deficit to beat the New York Knicks 121–111.
The Bucks were again without Kevin Porter Jr, sidelined for a third straight game due to injury.
“We’re not going to rush him,” said coach Doc Rivers. “It was a bad turn. We just want to be patient.”
The win lifts Milwaukee to 3-1 on the season.
