Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Renders Surface: Sleek Clamshell Design Continues, Could Feature Exynos 2600

· Lifestyle 生活

Recent leaks have revealed renders of Samsung's next‑generation foldable phones. Following the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and a new model tentatively named Galaxy Z Wide Fold, renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 have now emerged. The highly anticipated clamshell foldable retains a vertical folding design, with the cover screen covering the entire upper half of the back. The camera lenses and flash are placed in punch‑holes, while the inner display features a center punch‑hole. Combined with a flat metal frame, the overall look remains as refined as its predecessor.

According to leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 measures 166.8 × 75.4 × 6.6 mm when unfolded and 85.4 × 75.4 × 13.2 mm when folded. Compared to the previous Z Flip 7, the unfolded dimensions are nearly identical, but the folded thickness is about 0.5 mm thinner. The screen sizes are roughly 6.9 inches for the inner display and 4.1 inches for the cover screen – the same as the Z Flip 7.

Under the hood, reports suggest Samsung may equip the Z Flip 8 with its own Exynos 2600 chipset. Last year’s Z Flip 7 already adopted the Exynos 2500, breaking the Flip series’ long tradition of using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, so it’s likely the new model will continue with Exynos. However, the larger Galaxy Z Fold 8 in the same foldable lineup is expected to stick with a Snapdragon chip.

Renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 have also surfaced. The device retains a horizontal fold design, with sharp edges, smooth surfaces, and a noticeable camera bump. It features an 8‑inch inner display and a 6.5‑inch cover screen, with no under‑display camera. Its unfolded dimensions are approximately 158.4 × 143.2 × 4.5 mm, and folded dimensions are about 158.4 × 72.8 × 9 mm – slightly thicker than the Z Fold 7. That extra thickness may be due to a larger battery and S Pen support. Leaks indicate the Z Fold 8 will pack a 5,000 mAh battery, support 45W wired charging, and may add S Pen functionality.

Notably, Samsung Display showcased the world’s first crease‑free OLED panel at CES 2026, and it is rumored to debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The new panel uses a laser‑drilled metal support plate that disperses the stress created when the screen folds, significantly reducing the crease. The real‑world effect is highly anticipated.

Samsung plans to launch three new foldable phones this year: the Z Flip 8, the Z Fold 8, and a new model tentatively named Galaxy Z Wide Fold. With renders and specifications continuing to leak, the next generation of foldable flagships appears to be just around the corner.
