Path of Exile 2: How to Get & Use Talismans
Talismans are powerful socketable items in Path of Exile 2 that provide unique buffs to your character. Unlike regular Runes, they have specific drop conditions and gear restrictions. This guide explains how to farm Talismans, where they drop, and how to use them effectively.
How to Get Talismans in PoE 2

Talismans only drop from monsters empowered by Azmerian Wisps, special encounters that appear in:
Campaign zones (after completing the "Hunt Begins" quest in Act 1)
Endgame maps (with increased spawn chance via Atlas passives)
Farming Methods:
Kill Wisps-empowered monsters – Each Azmerian Wisp type drops its corresponding Talisman (e.g., Bear Wisp → Bear Talisman).
Use the 'Guiding Light' Atlas node – Guarantees an Azmerian Wisp in every map.
Trade via Currency Exchange – Buy specific Talismans, but they are expensive.
How to Use Talismans

Socket into gear like Runes, but only on matching item types (e.g., Bear Talisman → Helmets).
Cannot be removed – Only replaced by another Talisman.
Check descriptions to see which gear piece they fit into.
