For the Lakers, Hachimura led the way with 21 points. James finished with 19 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds; Austin Reaves added 17 points and 9 assists but committed 5 turnovers; Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart each chipped in 10 points. For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 23 points and 9 assists, Donovan Mitchell added 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Chet Holmgren provided steady inside production. James scored 17 of his 25 points in the second half, but could not prevent the home loss.
It was the Lakers’ third straight loss in the series, having lost both road games in Oklahoma City by a combined 36 points. Down 0-3, Los Angeles becomes the 152nd team in NBA playoff history to face such a deficit – none of the previous 151 have completed a comeback.
