Michael Saylor Confirms: “We Are Buying” — Strategy Denies BTC Sell-Off Rumors Amid Flash Crash
Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy, has firmly denied the circulating reports claiming the company dumped part of its massive Bitcoin reserves during the recent market flash crash.
In an official post on X, Saylor stated that there is “no truth” to rumors suggesting Strategy reduced its Bitcoin holdings by 47,000 BTC (worth over $4.6 billion). He reaffirmed that the company is continuing to accumulate, even as Bitcoin briefly dropped more than 4% from above $100,000 to below $95,000.
“Volatility comes with the territory,” Saylor said during a CNBC interview. “If you want to be a Bitcoin investor, you need a four-year time horizon and be mentally prepared for market swings.”
Strategy Still Holds One of the Largest Bitcoin Treasuries
Despite new corporate buyers entering the market, Strategy remains one of the largest Bitcoin holders with approximately 640,000 BTC. However, exchanges like Coinbase and companies such as Metaplanet reportedly outpaced Strategy’s BTC purchases during October.
Meanwhile, Strategy’s stock, MSTR, dropped over 17% in the last five days, trading around $205 on Nasdaq.
