✨What's in the Hearthstone Progression Update?
Hearthstone's game director, Tyler Bielman, released a statement on the website about the new update and the journey that led to it.
"Earlier this year, we made adjustments to our Weekly Quests," Bielman stated. "Our initial changes in Patch 29.2 aimed to reward our most committed players and encourage others to play more. However, after the changes went live, they didn't reward players for their time in-game as we had hoped."
Now, the game is making changes to its progression system, aiming to give players more accessible goals and more.
- Reverting Weekly Quests: Completion requirements and XP grant amounts are going back to what they were before Hearthstone patch 29.2.
- Rewards Track improvements: Five of the early 50 gold grants are swapped for five The Great Dark Beyond packs. Additionally, four The Great Dark Beyond packs are added to the Tavern Pass.
- Tavern Brawl update: The reward pack is changing from a Standard card pack to a pack from the latest expansion.

Hearthstone's goal is to make Quests achievable and accessible for everyone. This update is clearly a step in the right direction for the game.
Bielman also noted that going forward, the Hearthstone team will be constantly tweaking and updating this system.
