Haaland scores twice as Manchester City come from behind to beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 away

PARIS, April 25

– In the first leg of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League semi-finals at the Parc des Princes, Manchester City fought back from a goal down to secure a 3-2 away victory over Paris Saint-Germain, taking a crucial advantage into the second leg. Erling Haaland scored a brace, while Kevin De Bruyne added a stunning long-range strike.

Paris took an early lead in the 18th minute when Ousmane Dembélé finished off an assist from Kylian Mbappé. City settled and equalized in the 34th minute through De Bruyne, whose curling shot from outside the box flew into the far corner. After the break, Phil Foden threaded a precise through ball for Haaland, who beat the offside trap and slotted home to make it 2-1 in the 56th minute. Haaland then doubled his tally in the 71st minute, tapping in from İlkay Gündoğan's header. Paris pulled one back in the 83rd minute through Gonçalo Ramos, but the hosts could not find an equalizer.

"Scoring away goals is vital, but we can't relax. Paris are strong at home, and the second leg will still be difficult," said City manager Pep Guardiola after the match. The second leg will take place on May 3 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
