– In a blockbuster Group G clash of the 2026 FIFA World Cup European qualifiers, defending champions France snatched a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands at the Stade de France, courtesy of a stoppage‑time penalty from captain Kylian Mbappé.
The Netherlands opened the scoring in the 38th minute through Cody Gakpo’s long‑range strike.
